A good guide book would replace the guide mode, and I can recomend Nikon D3100 from Snapshots to Great Shots, and also D5100 from Snapshots to Great Shots by the same author. You can shoot up to 1/8000 of a second on a D800. Mar 31, 2013 - There are some great deals to be had on D5100, especially now the D5300 has been released. I would also like to know, on the same basis I find for quick street shooting, the d800e might not be the best solution. The D3100 has the guide mode which some people find useful. Refurbished cameras are as new if bought from a proper dealer. My d700 is still better for quick stuff, which is why I am considering getting a df. For high quality shots it is awesome.
